It’s spooky season again, and that means DelVal Student Programming Board is prepping for more campus-wide Halloween events. From trick or treating across campus to the viewing of horror movies, this Oct. 31 line-up is sure to bring students out of their dorms and out for the scares.

The first stop of the Halloween-themed night is an event hosted by President Ben Rusiloski, who will be setting up a Trick or Treat table outside Lasker Hall. Stop by between 1-3 p.m. and grab some treats and a custom button of the late Sparky the Squirrel, whose noble sacrifice knocked out the power for two days.
Next is the campus Trick or Treating, this year will feature 18 tables from different clubs and organizations. The event began two years ago with Emma Gargiulo (Class of 2025) as an Resident Assistant program. Through her passion and work the program evolved and is now officially part of the Student Government Association. It is led by the current Vice President of Campus Traditions, Hannah Citron (Class of 2026).
“These events are a fun way to bring students together, which is something we’ve seen through the growing attendance,” said Justin Brouse, head of Student Involvement. “It’s amazing to see students get really passionate about the activities and dress up in full costume and make memories, share laughs, and load up on free giveaways.”
The event starts at 7 p.m. and will run until 8:30. Check in for the event starts at 6:30 at the check-in tent located on the path between Ulman and Lasker Hall. Maps will be handed out along with trick or treat bags while supplies last.
Afterward to end the night Student Programing Board and Film Club will be featuring Scream 1996 on the quad at 8:45, and snacks, popcorn, and drinks will be provided. So, be sure to bring a blanket, chair, and a few friends to make some memories.
If you can’t make it Halloween night, head to Moumgis on Thursday, Oct. 30, when select campus clubs will be hosting Halloweve in Moumgis from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will have such attractions as arts and crafts, puppet karaoke, spooky psychology, and rats.
