It doesn’t take long to realize that Delaware Valley University values its roots. A section of the library dedicated to its founder, Rabbi Joseph Krauskopf, gives prospective students a glimpse into the campus’s past. It shows how a changing culture has reshaped enrollment and broadened the fields of study offered, rooting this small campus firmly in Bucks County’s history.
On Friday, Oct. 23, part of that history came back to campus. DelVal’s Class of 1976 returned 50 years after graduation, reuniting with classmates, roommates and old friends, many of whom had not seen one another since.
Their first stop was the Life Sciences Building, a hub where they gathered and mingled until the tour began at 10:15 a.m.
Warm smiles and excited cheers filled the building. Friendships that had gone quiet for decades were instantly rekindled as stories from the years in between filled the air. The tour itself was almost secondary to the sheer joy of seeing one another again.
Then the alumni set out across a campus that felt brand new to them, marveling at the changes and whispering among themselves as they went.
